The Museum of British Folklore are exhibiting a selection of dolls from their wonderful Morris Folk project here at Objects of Use in Oxford, from Monday 18th June to Sunday 8th July. Please do come along to have a look if you’re in the area — admission is free! By way of celebrating this exhibition, we're going to come together for an early evening celebration of all things Morris on Sunday 1st July, including a film screening, an introduction to the Morris Folk project and a performance by members of the Brackley Morris Men!
Objects of Use is a modern-day hardware store, home to a unique selection of everyday household tools, conscientiously sourced from around the globe. Our collection brings together centuries of tradition, passed through the hands and minds of generations, whose processes and techniques have culminated in the production of beautiful tools made with practiced skill, using low-impact methods and materials.
